Golf Cart

Avalon is one of very few places where your villas golf cart is your primary means of transportation. It is a unique and quaint way of seeing Avalon and a portion of Catalina Island. You are actually borrowing the home owners vehicle. We hope you enjoy it and treat it with care and respect as you do with your own vehicle.

The golf cart provided with your villa is a licensed vehicle; all California Laws regarding the operation of passenger motorized vehicles apply to the operation of the golf carts in Avalon.

Hamilton Cove is in the City of Avalon. You must comply with speed restrictions. stop signs, and slowing at speed bumps. Children are constantly about and their and your safety is of great concern. Please comply with the law.

Avalon City Ordinance limits the number of vehicles per home to one. Accordingly, additional golf carts are not available, without exception.

The use of the golf cart provided with your villa is complimentary and is not included in your rental fee. In other words, if it is available, you have use of it. If it is not available, you have not paid for it and have no right to another villas golf cart.

We represent our home owners. If your car breaks, you cannot take your neighbors car. Accordingly we cannot allow you to operate the golf cart of a different villa, without exception.

We make every attempt we can to insure your villas golf cart is operational, but as your vehicle occasionally has maintenance issues, so does the complimentary golf cart you borrowed from the home owner. If such an unfortunate malfunction should occur, we will notify the repair agency as soon as possible in an effort to get your villas golf cart repaired. Again, a replacement golf cart will not be made available, without exception. Taxis are available. The phone number is 310-510-0025. The taxi fee is your responsibility.

The golf cart will occupy a maximum of four passengers, without exception. Exceeding this maximum number of passengers will result in the loss of your privilege to borrow the home owners golf cart. The security guards will notify us if you exceed the maximum of four occupants in the villas golf cart and cameras are in all of the common areas at Hamilton Cove which the security personnel monitor.

You must be twenty five years of age or older to operate the golf cart which you are borrowing from the villas owner, without exception.

Do not allow any licensed or unlicensed person under the age of twenty five to operate the golf cart or you will loose your privilege to borrow the villas owners golf cart, without exception.

You must have a valid drivers license, without exception or you will loose your privilege to borrow the villas owners golf cart.

You must have insurance to operate a motorized vehicle, without exception or you will loose your privilege to borrow the villas owners golf cart.

Never leave children in the golf cart unattended or you will loose your privilege to borrow the villas owners golf cart.

Do not park the golf cart in Downtown Avalon overnight. Your Hamilton Cove Villa Golf Cart has a permit to be parked in Downtown Avalon between the hours of 6:00 AM in the morning to 2:00 AM the next morning. Be sure to observe all parking zones and restrictions. All parking tickets are your responsibility. If you do not settle them prior to your departure, they will be deducted from your security deposit.

When parking the golf cart, insure the ignition is turned off and the key is removed. If you leave the ignition on, the battery will discharge. If such an occurrence should happen, you will incur a $25.00 fee for recharging the battery and the use of the golf cart for the time frame for recharging the battery which will happen at our convenience as you are responsible for turning off the vehicle properly.

Do not operate the golf cart on unpaved roads in Avalon or you will loose your privilege to borrow the villas owners golf cart. Flat tires will result and you will be inconvenienced and the repair will occur at our convenience.

You must have completely filled out and signed a Borrowed Vehicle Agreement.

Any guest staying with you who wishes to operate the golf cart must comply with all of the above, without exception or you will loose your privilege to borrow the villas owners golf cart.

Noncompliance with any of the above will result in the loss of your privilege to borrow the home owners golf cart of the villa you rented, without exception.

Prior to your departure, please replace the fuel you utilized for sight seeing and transportation in the golf cart you borrowed from the home owner.

$50.00 of your security deposit will be deducted if you do not replace the fuel you used for your vacation or getaway.
